Integrity, Honesty and Hard working, though defining these three qualities

are, they are not enough to describe the traits of Md. Shahiduzzaman, MP.

Born in 10th December 1958 , Mr. Shahiduzzaman had the privilege of a good

education from the start. Meritorious student of Dhaka Govt. Laboratory

School, Dhaka College and BUET( ), Mr. Shahiduzzaman became a Mechanical

Engineer by profession.

Keeping focus on self employment and giving heed to his entrepreneurial

skills, he started his career just after passing his engineering degree. He

started running an automatic machine shop which made moulds for plastic

products as well as machinery parts. Few years later he established, Bikalpa

Chemical Industries, which has been producing Sodium Silicate since 1988. A

natural opportunist in business endeavors, he started a yarn dyeing project

named Gungeetal Thread in the January 1995 with a view on the future booming

demands in garments manufacturing sector. Sincere efforts on his side and

superior quality made Gungeetal an authority in this sector over the last

decade. In 1996 Maisha Corpration pvt. Ltd established, manufacturing

corrugated carton for select market was another one of his maestro

capabilities.

A great enthusiast in cultural activities and a great organizer, he

established and mentored countless social welfare and other non profit

organizations during his career. Engineers council of IT, which gathered

highly successful engineers in their professions toward ICT development of

the country, Old laboratorians association, an alumni with a view to enhance

the education capabilities of school students who passed from

Govt.Laboratory School. Bangladesh Society of Mechanical Engineers , are

just some of his patroned organizations. A great patron of sports and some what

an active sportsman in his early years, Md. Shahiduzzaman nurtured

SURJOTARUN, the premier division cricket club in Bangladesh. Over Two

decades he contributed in the field of cricket as running a famous club

SURJOTARUN. Produced a lot of national cricketer. Being the general

Secretary of the club and Member of THE CRICKET COMMITTEE OF DHAKA

METROPOLITAN putting sincere efforts to develop the cricket.

Nurturing within himself a great humanist, Md. Shahiduzzaman active member

National society for blinds, Chittagong. He also connected himself with

numerous other humanitarian efforts over the past years. He still continues

his passion for humanity by carrying on human development projects in

personal and official basis in his home district Cox's Bazar.

Setting a very different example by entering in politics late in his career,

Md. Shahiduzzaman is now a dedicated politician, putting the voice of his

people in the JS arena.In personal life, happily married to Nazifa Zaman for the last 18 years, Mr.

Shahiduzzaman has two daughters, A devoted family man, Shahiduzzaman balances his time between holding office serving people and his family.
